I know it's not much but it's still a little update...

I gonna book in to another camp in another few hours time. Will be having 8 Days outfield straight. I think I will smell like pig after the eighth day...

Still a work in progress especially the background.

A quick update just to let you guys know I'm still hanging around! Two days ago,I've met up with a secondary school art friend and teacher, glad they're doing alright. Anyway stay tune and thanks for the wonderful supports!

And after so many weeks not being able to draw and post, I finally present the honey fetcher, Mongchuck to all of you!

Some facts about Mongchucks

Mongchucks love pollen grains so much, they work for at least 14 hours a day. It is kept by Mongchuck-keepers in order to collect honey and pollinating crops. The beak of Mongchucks can store numerous seeds at a single time especially during hibernation period.

Mongchucks live in deep mountainous regions and therefore it can be traded to other keepers for quite a high price. Average lifespan of this creature is around four to five years. The fan-like tail is used for balancing during flight and mating purposes. Due to global warming and deforestation, it has became one of the endangering species.

Weekends are always so sweet to have but short. I wanna go fly kite but end up chilling alone at esplanade area yesterday, observing the night scene, crowd and lighting. Although alone, it was still a great trip afterall! Come to think of it, I have not hang out with my beloved gang of friends for many weeks, god.

Anyway, so here goes Mongchuck, still not fully done after 4 hours of heavy planning and re-construction in perspective.

Small progress being done today, I've decided to redraw Mongchuck, the honey fetcher in perspective.

Parents have been pestering me ever since last two weeks that it's about time to start looking for job before ORD... or taking up another career. I'm so confused because my brain did not even quit on me.

Sorry for the lack of updates, cause I've been in camp for the past weeks. So here's another creature I've come up with and it's still W.I.P. I will tell you more about him after he's completed! So stick with me!

p.s: Just noticed that my monitor needs color calibration soon. And I feel quite strange using my tablet and photoshop after so long!

Sorry guys for the lag of updates, was in camp. So here's another beauty which I've painted for today which took around 5 to 6 hours to complete.

I won't be at home for the whole of next week including weekend, I will try to update soon! Lots of people are getting sick, including me. sucks.

I'm terribly sorry for not being productive for like 3 weeks plus, because I've been thinking of what career path should take after my army life. And so this is the painting which took me around four hours to paint, hope you guys like it!

I finally manage to pull my lazy self together and tried figuring out Camtasia software for recording this video and so this is my first time using it, pardon me for any faults! =D

I actually had loads of fun recording though the recording crashed multiple times and I could feel some stress while painting, imagine tons of eyeballs watching this...

The actual painting probably took around 4 hours.

I'm thinking of changing the blog banner so I'm gonna use this to replace it later on! And this time I tried to record the working process, the video might take some time to load, sorry about that.

Man, you know everytime I check back on my last posted arts, I thought I had gave my all but again I could have do a better job. I guess that's a good thing.

Advance greetings to my very best friend, zhanxin! Known him since year 2006 and he's such a awesome friend, and this is the first time I'm doing a e-card for him!

I know, recently I've done quite afew cards, it's such a happy season! I feel so precious and loved when someone took the time off to do a card specially for me, though that was few years back and I still kept the card on my drawing desk. Likewise I suppose I could light up someone's day even with simple illustration!

God, I know I'm quite fortunate already but I wish to be happier. I feel so down and lost lately, I don't know why. Perhaps I've just been worrying too much.

Right now, I'm gonna go get ready, book in to camp tonight, hate it totally. Tomorrow still have some trainings going on... total waste of my precious youth.

I was so into monster design recently, was quite inspired by Pixar's art book which was given to me by one best friend of mine last birthday. thankyou so much zhanxin! I know the poses are so static, I'm gonna try free them up alittle next time.

I'm still bounded by service, and I want my freedom so badly! Meanwhile drawing is the only way to keep me sane.

I'm starting early to prepare for another birthday card! hahaha! I spent the whole afternoon inking it and maybe this little creature need a little colors, ya! for now it's once again booking in camp for guard duty... hope you guys enjoy this year christmas to the fullest, cheers!
